Wallaboo adopts kangaroo
Vleuten, April 2008
The Dutch company Wallaboo adopts a real kangaroo from Australia. The just six months old Leila lost her mother in a car accident and was taken care of by voluntary workers at the kangaroo reception centre Roo Gully. The little baby kangaroo isn’t coming to the Netherlands but will stay in her own familiar surroundings with her care-takers. Wallaboo donates money to the reception centre so Leila will be cared for and grow up happily.
“I was so touched by the story of Leila and Roo Gully that I immediately felt the need to do something too.” Says José Kok from Wallaboo. “The company name Wallaboo was inspired by the wallaby, a small kangaroo that keeps her little one warm and comfortable in her pouch.”
Comfortable child’s play
Besides the footmuffs Wallaboo introduces a new summer collection this month including three types of car seat covers and stroller liners and a handy diaper bag.
The washable covers are easily fitted over the infant car seat or stroller and make cleaning strollers or car seats mere child’s play. The soft cover made of terry cloth and micro fibre suede offers extra comfort during the hot summer months. The terry cloth absorbs heat and keeps children cool and dry. The covers are available in several beautiful colours and all models are priced at € 35.00.
Colourful day out
The new light weight Wallaboo Soft diaper bag is also made of eye-catching micro fibre suede and available in six summery colours varying from soft blue to sweet pink. The insulated bottle holder, the removable changing pad and an extra pocket for wet clothes makes this bag a handy tool for parents taking their kids out for the day. The diaper bag costs € 65.00.
